Nestled into the forested slopes near the base of Mont Blanc, Lavencher Chalet is a modern alpine retreat that thoughtfully extends an existing farmhouse to create a striking new 500m² spa and wellness complex.
Set on a steep, wooded site, the design aims to connect deeply with the dramatic topography of the Chamonix valley, while introducing a refined architectural language that balances openness, materiality, and shelter.
The defining gesture of the project is a sweeping curved glass façade that arcs elegantly from floor to soffit, offering an uninterrupted panorama across the valley and toward the iconic mountain range beyond.
This curved frontage envelops the main living and dining space, allowing the interior to be fully immersed in the changing hues of alpine forest, rock, and light throughout the seasons.
